Angel Fire Resort Ski Trail Map - Layered Wood Wall Art
by Mountaincut
New Mexico's family-friendly Southwestern escape, now on your wall. Mountaincut's Angel Fire Ski Trail Map is a layered wooden wall art piece featuring hand-traced ski trails expertly laser cut from premium birch and/or walnut plywood, a handcrafted tribute to the high-altitude Sangre de Cristo resort where approachable terrain, uncrowded slopes, and the only night skiing in New Mexico come together.
The Moreno Valley's Mountain Paradise, Captured in Wood
Nestled in the majestic Moreno Valley within the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of northern New Mexico, about 23 miles east of Taos and 94 miles northeast of Santa Fe, Angel Fire Resort delivers a high-altitude ski experience with a relaxed Southwestern vibe. From a base of 8,600 feet to a summit reaching 10,677 feet, the mountain offers a 2,077-foot vertical drop, one of the biggest in the state, across 560 acres of skiable terrain. Angel Fire's 80-plus trails are served by 7 lifts, including two high-speed quads that make it home to the most detachable lifts in New Mexico, letting skiers spend less time riding and more time turning. Originally a cattle-grazing ranch converted into a resort by the LeBus family in 1966, Angel Fire averages 210 inches of snowfall each season, backed by extensive snowmaking. This handcrafted map captures every trail, glade, and terrain park in beautiful layered wood relief.
Every Trail, Every Glade, Every Memory
Angel Fire is one of the most welcoming, family-oriented mountains in the Southwest, with terrain that breaks down to roughly 21% beginner, 56% intermediate, and 23% advanced and expert. The approachable layout lets skiers of every level explore the whole mountain without feeling confined to a single zone. Beginners find gentle, wide-open groomers and dedicated learning areas served by two Wondercarpets, while intermediates dominate the mountain with flowing cruisers like Exhibition and the scenic Headin' Home, which unspools more than 3 miles from summit to base. For those seeking a challenge, the best fall lines are found off the Southwest Flyer on the back of the mountain, where expert runs like Nice Day, Hell's Bells, Hari Kari, and Charisma test mogul skills, and four gladed tree areas, Bear Glade, Elk Glade, Shane's Glade, and Eagle Glade, deliver about 30 acres of advanced tree skiing. Freestyle riders enjoy multiple terrain parks, headlined by Liberation Park at the summit with jumps, rails, funboxes, and a halfpipe, plus the beginner-friendly Lowrider park. Beyond the alpine trails, Angel Fire offers a full-service Nordic Center, a tubing hill, snowmobiling, ice skating, sleigh rides, and the only night skiing in New Mexico. On Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, a torchlight parade and fireworks light up the front of the mountain.
Exceptional Craftsmanship, Made in the USA
All Mountaincut wooden trail maps are precision laser cut and etched, hand-stained, and finished in the United States using birch and/or walnut plywood. The two-layer construction creates a rich, dimensional look where the mountain's ridgeline, glades, and trail network stand out in beautiful relief. Hanging hardware comes preinstalled, so your new trail map will be on display in minutes.
Because each piece is crafted from real wood, no two maps are exactly alike, with natural variations in the grain and stain giving every piece its own character, just like a bluebird powder morning above the Moreno Valley.
