Established in the early 1930s by Clarence J. Bousquet, the mountain became the first ski area in America to offer night skiing, thanks to an early partnership with hometown giant General Electric, and was also among the first to install snowmaking, beginning on the Russell Slope in 1956. From a base of 1,068 feet to a summit of 1,818 feet, Bousquet delivers a 750-foot vertical drop across 200 acres, with 23 trails served by two chairlifts and two magic carpets, plus 90% snowmaking coverage and extensive lighting for night skiing.
