Brundage Mountain Ski Trail Map - Layered Wood Wall Art
by Mountaincut
The Best Snow in Idaho, now on your wall. Mountaincut's Brundage Mountain Ski Trail Map is a layered wooden wall art piece featuring hand-traced ski trails expertly laser cut from premium birch and/or walnut plywood, a handcrafted tribute to the independently owned McCall classic where light dry powder, perfectly spaced glades, and jaw-dropping views come without the crowds.
Idaho's Best-Kept Powder Secret, Captured in Wood
Set high in the Payette National Forest of west central Idaho, just eight miles northwest of McCall and about a twenty-minute drive from town, Brundage Mountain Resort has been a family-owned Idaho institution since it first opened in November 1961. From a base of roughly 5,840 feet to a summit of 7,640 feet, Brundage delivers a 1,921-foot vertical drop across 1,920 acres of lift-accessed terrain, with 70 named trails served by five chairlifts including the base-to-summit Bluebird Express high-speed quad. And then there's the snow: Brundage averages more than 320 inches at the base each season and has earned an undisputed reputation for the Best Snow in Idaho. The primarily west-facing terrain overlooks Payette Lake, the Salmon River Mountains, the Seven Devils Wilderness, and Hells Canyon, with views stretching past the Snake River into eastern Oregon. This handcrafted map captures every trail, glade, and snowfield in beautiful layered wood relief.
Every Trail, Every Glade, Every Memory
Brundage offers an incredible variety of terrain, roughly 20% easiest, 50% more difficult, and 30% most difficult, but its 70 named trails are only part of the story. It's the countless glades and snowfields tucked between the named runs that truly set Brundage apart. Beginners have excellent learning terrain on Easy Street and the Bear Chair, plus the Beartopia Fun Zone. Intermediates carve ridiculously wide groomers on the Frontside and Lakeview zones, with long twisty cruisers like 45th Parallel and Engen, the latter named in remembrance of Corey Engen, the Norwegian Olympic ski jumper who helped found the mountain. Advanced skiers drop into steep tree runs, powder-filled bowls, and the far-out corners of Hidden Valley, where perfectly spaced glades hold fresh tracks for days. The longest run, Temptation, stretches two miles. Three terrain parks serve freestyle riders, and beyond the boundary, 18,000 acres of guided snowcat backcountry terrain await. Best of all, the lifts open at a relaxed 9:30 and there are essentially no lift lines, so the powder stays untracked and the laps keep coming.
Exceptional Craftsmanship, Made in the USA
All Mountaincut wooden trail maps are precision laser cut and etched, hand-stained, and finished in the United States using birch and/or walnut plywood. The two-layer construction creates a rich, dimensional look where the mountain's bowls, glades, and trail network stand out in beautiful relief. Hanging hardware comes preinstalled, so your new trail map will be on display in minutes.
Because each piece is crafted from real wood, no two maps are exactly alike, with natural variations in the grain and stain giving every piece its own character, just like a deep powder morning above Payette Lake.
