For nearly 80 years, Hickory has stood like a sentinel above the river, hand-cut and lovingly maintained by generations of members, ski patrol, and enthusiast volunteers rather than a corporate grooming crew. With 1,200 feet of vertical drop and 19 trails covering roughly 213 to 225 acres, the mountain is famously the largest surface-lift-only ski area in the entire Northeast, served by three vintage lifts, two Poma surface lifts and a T-bar. Hickory relies entirely on natural snow, with no snowmaking whatsoever, keeping that authentic vintage ski experience fully intact.
