Loveland Ski Area Trail Map - Layered Wood Wall Art
by Mountaincut
Denver's closest full-mountain ski experience and one of Colorado's highest ski areas - now on your wall. Mountaincut's Loveland Ski Trail Map is a layered wooden wall art piece featuring hand-traced ski trails expertly laser cut from premium birch and/or walnut plywood, a handcrafted tribute to the independent, family-owned mountain that has been a Front Range locals' favorite for over 80 years.
Colorado's Continental Divide Classic, Captured in Wood
Perched high atop the Continental Divide just 53 miles west of Denver on I-70, right at the eastern portal of the Eisenhower Tunnel - Loveland Ski Area occupies some of the highest lift-served terrain in all of North America. With a base elevation of 10,800 feet and a summit that reaches an extraordinary 13,010 feet, Loveland delivers a 2,210-foot vertical drop across 1,800 acres of skiable terrain plus an additional 100 acres of hike-to terrain. Its 94 trails are served by 11 lifts, and an average of 422 inches of annual snowfall, among the highest totals in Colorado, keeps the mountain blanketed in light, dry Rocky Mountain powder from as early as mid-October through early May. This handcrafted map captures the full sweep of the mountain: both base areas, the vast Basin, the gentle Valley, and the legendary Ridge straddling the Continental Divide.
Every Trail, Every Bowl, Every Memory
Loveland is divided into two distinct base areas, each with its own character. Loveland Valley is a separate, self-contained area designed exclusively for beginners — with its own lifts, gentle terrain, and wide-open slopes where newcomers can learn without intimidation from more advanced skiers. Loveland Basin is the main mountain, offering a wide variety of terrain across a trail mix of 13% beginner, 46% intermediate, and 41% advanced and expert: groomed cruisers, tree skiing, bumps, steeps, and wide-open above-treeline bowls that stretch for hundreds of acres. The crown jewel is The Ridge, served by Chair 9 which whisks skiers and riders to 12,700 feet — one of the highest chairlifts in North America — where 480 acres of open, steep, and deep alpine terrain drop along the spine of the Continental Divide. Free snowcat rides along the north side of The Ridge deliver adventurous skiers and riders to some of the most exhilarating terrain at the resort, while 100 additional acres of hike-to terrain reward those willing to earn their turns. One terrain park — Love Park — rounds out the experience, and the longest run stretches two miles from top to bottom.
Exceptional Craftsmanship, Made in the USA
All Mountaincut wooden trail maps are precision laser cut and etched, hand-stained, and finished in the United States using birch and/or walnut plywood. The two-layer construction creates a rich, dimensional look where the mountain's ridgelines, bowls, and trails stand out in beautiful relief. Hanging hardware comes preinstalled, so your new trail map will be on display in minutes.
Because each piece is crafted from real wood, no two maps are exactly alike — natural variations in the grain and stain give every piece its own character, just like an October opening day at Loveland.
