For families and intermediate skiers, the Birdland and Sunnyside areas offer welcoming terrain with groomed blues and greens that all funnel back to the single base area. Mad River Glen averages over 250 inches of natural snowfall per year, enhanced by orographic lift off nearby Lake Champlain, and maintains only 15% snowmaking coverage, staying true to its commitment to natural snow skiing.
