Massanutten Ski Trail Map - Layered Wood Wall Art
by Mountaincut
Virginia's mountain resort -now on your wall. Mountaincut's Massanutten Ski Trail Map is a layered wooden wall art piece featuring hand-traced ski trails expertly laser cut from premium birch and/or walnut plywood, a handcrafted tribute to the Shenandoah Valley's beloved four-season destination and one of the most complete ski experiences in the Mid-Atlantic.
Virginia's Premier Ski Resort, Captured in Wood
Nestled in the heart of Virginia's Shenandoah Valley with panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, just twenty minutes from Harrisonburg and within easy reach of Washington, D.C., Richmond, and Charlottesville, Massanutten Resort has been bringing skiing and snowboarding to Virginia since it first opened over 50 years ago. Rising from a base elevation of 1,750 feet to a summit of 2,925 feet, the resort delivers an impressive 1,175-foot vertical drop across 82 acres of skiable terrain, with 23 trails served by 7 lifts including a high-speed detachable quad on the Peak chair. With 100% snowmaking coverage across every trail and a commitment to continuous investment in snowmaking infrastructure, Massanutten consistently delivers one of the longest seasons in Virginia - often the first resort in the state to open and the last to close. This handcrafted map captures every trail, every terrain park, and every slope that makes Massanutten the mountain that Virginia skiers call home.
Every Trail, Every Park, Every Memory
Massanutten's 23 trails offer a well-balanced terrain mix of 27% beginner, 43% intermediate, and 30% advanced, packed into a compact but thoughtfully designed layout that maximizes variety within every vertical foot. Beginners find a welcoming home on the lower slopes and dedicated learner's area served by surface carpet lifts, while intermediate cruisers like Mueller's Mile, added in 2022 off the Peak chair, deliver smooth, scenic runs with sweeping valley views. Advanced skiers and riders gravitate to the steeper lines under the Peak and Ridge lifts, including the challenging Para Dice and runs that take full advantage of the mountain's impressive vertical. Two terrain parks keep freestyle enthusiasts progressing all season: the CMB Park features as many as twelve rails and jumps for experienced riders, while the Easy Street Park offers smaller features geared toward beginners learning their first tricks. Night skiing extends the fun well into the evening across much of the terrain, and a 14-lane tubing park with 900-foot lanes and its own carpet lift rounds out the full Massanutten winter experience.
Exceptional Craftsmanship, Made in the USA
All Mountaincut wooden trail maps are precision laser cut and etched, hand-stained, and finished in the United States using birch and/or walnut plywood. The two-layer construction creates a rich, dimensional look where the mountain's ridgeline and trails stand out in beautiful relief. Hanging hardware comes preinstalled, so your new trail map will be on display in minutes.
Because each piece is crafted from real wood, no two maps are exactly alike - natural variations in the grain and stain give every piece its own character, just like a crisp winter morning in the Shenandoah Valley.
