For those seeking adventure, the terrain between the top of the Express and Windy Ridge offers steep bump runs, while Otto's Outback provides ungroomed, bowl-like terrain with a more backcountry feel. Mission Ridge averages 200 inches of natural snowfall per year, supplemented by one of the largest snowmaking systems in the Pacific Northwest, featuring 80 hydrants covering 70 acres and drawing from an 18-million-gallon reservoir. That system has helped Mission Ridge open on Thanksgiving weekend 11 out of the past 12 years. The B-24 Terrain Park provides a dedicated zone for freestyle riders, and night skiing has been available since 1978.
