Above the mid-mountain lodge, wide, welcoming beginner and intermediate slopes stretch from the summit down to a natural gathering point, with green runs ranging from 3,000 to 3,700 feet that let newer skiers feel the satisfaction of a real top-to-bottom descent. Below the lodge, everything changes. The advanced and expert terrain on the North Face delivers the steepest skiing in Pennsylvania, anchored by the legendary White Lightning, the resort's signature trail and the second steepest named run in the eastern United States. Smoke and Boomer join White Lightning as double-black-diamond challenges that demand respect, while black diamond runs like Rattler, Cannonball, and the lower sections of Fast Track and Runaway reward strong skiers with sustained pitch and genuine vertical. Two top-to-bottom routes, Raceway and Fast Track, link the upper blues to the lower blacks for some of the longest and most varied descents on the mountain. A terrain park and rail plaza keep freestyle riders progressing, and the Glades trail adds tree skiing to the mix. With 100% snowmaking and 100% night skiing across all 140 acres, Montage makes the most of every visit.
