Northern New Mexico and the Sangre de Cristos
The heart of New Mexico skiing runs through the northern mountains. Ski Apache rises above Ruidoso on the slopes of Sierra Blanca, and Ski Cloudcroft sits in the Sacramento Mountains above the Tularosa Basin, a historic hill that ranks among the southernmost ski areas in the United States.
