But the crown jewel is Honeycomb Canyon, a vast bowl of double-black chutes with names like Here Be Dragons and No Man's Land, where deep Cottonwood Canyon snow can pile up so fast you'd want a snorkel, and fresh tracks can be found for days after a storm. Woodlawn, Solitude's longest run, winds through the canyon and, like nearly every trail on the mountain, funnels back to one of two base areas. Connected to neighboring Brighton via a trail off the top of the Sunrise lift with the Solbright Pass, and home to an extensive Nordic Center, Solitude offers serenity that few resorts this snowy can match.
